Ester came from a very proper family. She attended Ursinus College in Collegeville,Pennsylvania and was described as a perfect lady.
After she married she led a very hard life rearing seven children and ,at the same time, helped her husband run an inn.It is said she killed herself working and appeared as a very old woman when she died at the age of about 56. She had several strokes toward the end of her life.
