Kennith Ray Yates, age 47, of Paint Rock, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born August 29, 1967 in Roane County and attended Midway High School and also was a member of Ponders Community Old Time Gospel Church in Ten Mile, where Kennith love to play his guitar and sing the gospel songs he wrote. He was a truck driver who enjoyed old cars, hot rods and was an avid fisherman. Kennith loved his children and family. Preceded in death by his sister, Frances Coleen Yates; grandparents, William Ogle & Isa Bea Yates; grandmother, Mary Frances Workapick.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Ponders Community Old Time Gospel Church. Funeral will be held 12:00 noon Sunday at the church with graveside service following at Kelsey-Yates Cemetery.
