Pfc Aaron H. G. Clawson age 19 died on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Fort McCoy. He was born on March 22, 1991 in Madison, to Clark and Lilac (Hoefert) Clawson. Aaron was a former member of the Boy Scouts Troop 76 and 4-H Hubbleton Hustlers. He was a 2009 graduate of Waterloo High School where he excelled on the swim team. He was currently attending UW-Whitewater and was serving in the U.S. Army Reserves with the 826th Ordnance Company, Madison. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Lilac Clawson-Kriston and Joe Kriston Jr. of Columbus and Joe’s mother, Ilona Kriston of Racine; two sisters, Christina (Scott Beilfuss) Clawson and their children Christopher and Bobby of Milwaukee and Clara (John Rattanakonsonh) Clawson of Rossville GA; two brothers, Joel of Milwaukee and Anthony Clawson of Waterloo; two step-sisters, Jennifer (Dan) Gilligan and their daughter Evie of Fargo TX and Kimberly (Chris) Tucker of Rockwall TX; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Adelia Hoefert, and Joe’s father Joseph Kriston. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH in Columbus with Rev. Steve Kortendick officiating. Interment was in St. Jerome Cemetery, Columbus with full military honors. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home, and from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the church on Wednesday. All Memorials will please be made directly to the Clawson family.Aaron was 19.

He belonged to the 826th Ordnance Company Army Reserve, out of Madison, WI.

He had been at Fort McCoy for weekend training.

He joined the U.S. Army Reserve in May 2008 and graduated from his Army Advanced Individual Training specialty education in December of 2009.
