Judy K. Scott, age 61, of 1632 Spruce, Quincy formerly of Donnellson, IA died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in her home, after her battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Judy was born May 13, 1950 in Quincy, a daughter of Merle F �Red� and Elizabeth �Betty� Ann (Achilles) Nichols.

Judy first married Danny L. Koenig on June 22, 1968 in Quincy�s St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death. Judy was employed by Blessing Hospital in Home Care and later as a Physicians Clerk retiring in 2009 due to her illness. From 1977-1992 she worked as a Department Manager for Jack�s Discount in Quincy, Keokuk and Ft. Madison, IA. She had also worked at Kirlin�s Hallmark in the Quincy Mall.

She was a 1968 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Judy volunteered with the Sunset Cruises and at Blessed Sacrament�s Church Bazaar. She enjoyed traveling with her mom and grandchildren. Judy was interested in scrap booking, making crafts, organizing, building cabinets and reading.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Nichols of Quincy; her daughter, Michelle M. �Shelly� Daugherty and her husband Cliff of Mendon, IL; her brother, Jim Nichols of Quincy; a step-son, Mark H. Scott, Jr. his wife Lynae and their family of Donnellson, IA.
Three grandchildren, Zachary (Jackie) Nelson who is stationed with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA with their children Emma Rae and Eli James Nelson; Stephanie Nelson, who is in the U.S. Army Reserves at Jefferson Barracks, MO; and David L.J. Daugherty of Mendon, IL.
Her close friends, Betty and Michael Jobe and family, Mary Kay and Russ Bovier and family along with many nieces, nephews and co-workers also survive.

Judy was preceded in death by her dad, her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Marie Achilles, paternal grandparents. Alva and Hazel Nichols; a nephew, Ryan Koenig, several aunts and uncles and a special cousin, Sharon Cramm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, there will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the World War II Honor Flight Program, Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE or to the Donor�s Choice
