Mr. Geo. Melton, employed as overseer at Lockridge's Mill at Latham, for the past several years, died at his home in Martin on Saturday, following an attack of pneumonia.

Mr. Melton moved to Martin several years ago from Dresden. His daughters were telephone operators here.

He left his work at Latham on Saturday before Christmas to spend Christmas with his family in Martin, and on the following Saturday he was a corpse.
