John H. Weaver, a life-long resident of Lock Haven, died at the Lock Haven Hospital this morning at 7:30 o’clock after an illness of a year. He was 83 years old.
A native of this city, Mr. Weaver had spent his working lifetime in the employ of saw mills and planing mills here. His only survivors are a brother, George W. Weaver, of Shamokin, two sisters of advanced age, and a step-daughter, Mrs. H. Gutellius, of Mifflinburg. For more than a year, he had made his home at the Clearfield House.
Last October, Mr. Weaver suffered a stroke. His condition had grown worse since then and he was taken to the hospital a month ago. He was one of the oldest members of Clinton Lodge, No. 98, I.O.O.F., having been a member of the original for 50 years, and had occupied the chair in the lodge.

Weaver, aged 83 years lifelong resident of Lock Haven and for more than fifty years a member of Clinton lodge No. 98, I.O.O.F., died at the Lock Haven hospital Tuesday morning at 7:30, after a year’s illness. He was employed at the different planing mills of the city for many years, and for the past year had resided at the Clearfield House on Jay street. Surviving him are one brother, George W. Weaver, of Shamokin, two sisters, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. H. Guellius, of Mifflinburg.
