George Arnold Moore, II

SPRINGFIELD, IL - George Arnold Moore, II, passed away peacefully and without pain at the home of his beloved mother and stepfather after a brief, but courageous, battle with pancreatic cancer, on Friday, April 17, 2015.

George was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Springfield.

He is survived by his parents, Lilly and Bill Dalsin of Springfield, and George and Jean Moore of West Plains, Mo.; two precious daughters, Ashley Elizabeth and Melissa Anna Mae Moore; loving son, Brock Phillips; one grandson, Adam Pickford; his brother and partner in crime, Jeff (wife, Leslie) Moore of Springfield; stepbrother, Richard Dalsin of Springfield; stepsisters, Kathy Bramlet of Springfield and Blue Geiger of Bloomington, Ind.; half-brothers, David Moore and Paul Moore; his very special uncle, Danny (wife, Julie) Sands of Rochester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle and Georgia Sands, and Robert and Daisy Moore; infant daughter, Melissa; and several uncles.

George proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier Coral Sea and did indeed see the world.

George enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind, generous, loving man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
