In 1900 William was living Nellie, his father John A. Hake who was born in December of 1823 in Pennsylvania, his sister, Elizabeth Hake, is mother in law Elizabeth Scobie who was born in June of 1841 in England. Both John A. Hake and Elizabeth Scobie were widowed.
In 1920 William was deputy superintendent at the Allegheny County Workhouse, a prison, in O'Hare Township, Pennsylvania. At the time William was widowed and his children, May, Jeanette, William C., Addison G., and James F. Hake were living in the household.
After Mary Ellen Scobie Hake died William married Naomi Corfield Watkinson. Naomi had been married to Edmund Watkinson. According to her death certificate, Naomi, wife of William Hake, her parents were William and Naomi Corfield.
In 1930 William and Naomi were living in Blawnox, Pennsylvania with Naomi's daughter Jessie and Jessie's husband William Hays. At the time of her death Naomi was widowed and residing at 228 Freeport Road, in Blawnox. She is buried next to Edmund Watkinson.
