"Kay N. Gurnee of Stockton, CA rejoined her beloved husband, Harry H. Gurnee on April 9, 2015. She was 81 years old. She spent the early part of her life in Redwood City, CA and in 1958 married the love of her life and relocated to the small farming community of Watsonville, CA to be a farmer's wife. Along with Harry, they owned and operated a family farm-Gurnee's Lakeside Farm. After Harry retired, she went to work for H & R Block as a tax preparer. In 2001, they chose to relocate to Stockton, CA. They were able to travel, spend time with their grandchildren, and become involved with their church, Central United Methodist Church. Kay is survived by her son, Harry H. Gurnee Jr and his children, Nathan and Camryn of Aptos, CA and her daughter, Deborah K. Martinez , her husband, Victor and their children and granddaughter, Charlotte, Rachel and Nalea of Stockton, CA. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who fondly remember their "Aunt Kay".
There will be a small memorial ceremony on April 25, 2015 at 1pm at Central United Methodist Church in Stockton..."
