Maniza was the second wife of David Thwing Wheeler. She bore a total of eight children, three of which died at early ages. The remaining five went on to have families of their own. Maniza also died at an early age, 31, apparently as a result of complications from Lela's birth. Lela died when only four days old and is buried by her parents on what used to be the Wheeler Farm, approximately 5 miles South of Stockdale.
There are two grave stones for Maniza. Interestingly, the older, broken stone spells her name Meniza.
