Veteran Civil War, Major. He first enlisted in Company F, 11th PA Cavalry Regiment as First Sergeant on 17 Aug 1861 in Tioga County PA. He then transferred on 5 Oct 1861 to Company B, 101st PA Infantry Regiment in Mansfield, Tioga County PA; he separated on 22 Sep 1862 due to typhoid fever. Following his recovery, he re-enlisted as Major, Field and Staff Headquarters Company, 207th PA Infantry Regiment on 14 Sep 1864, separated 31 May 1865. Married Josephine E. Gillett of Cherry Flats, Tioga County, PA. Occupation: lawyer and judge. Contributor: Conservative Patriot (47556898)
