Mrs. Betty Irby Nichols, age 50, of 213 Trinkle Ave., N.E. died Sunday, April 8, 1984 in a local hospital. She was a retired employee of the N&W Credit Union, a member of Sigma Tau Delta Sorority and the Roanoke Women's Club. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Stephanie L. Nichols, Mrs. Tina M. and Eddie Ford, Roanoke; one grandson, Anthony Ford; mother and stepfather, Mrs. Evelyn S. and Earl Wingfield, Lynchburg; two brothers, Buddy Irby, Blue Ridge; Ronnie Irby, Lynchburg; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Baker, Vinton; Mrs. Judy Mann, Troutville.
Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 11, with the Rev. Charles R. Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
