Marilyn Ann Robertson, age 84 of Retreat, rural DeSoto passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 18th, 2015 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua.

She was born in Richland Center to Theodore and Mildred (McKinney) Collins. She graduated from Blue River High School in 1949. On July 21, 1950 she married her high school classmate, James “Jim” Robertson at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nasuha, IA. They lived in the DeSoto Area where Jim was a logger and she worked over twenty-five years at the Button Factory in Lansing, IA. She was a long time member of the Retreat United Methodist Church. Jim died on August 30, 1999. She continued to live at their home in Retreat until 2005 when she moved to the Park View Manor in Viroqua. In 2010 she became a resident of the Bethel Home where she received outstanding care.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son; Mitch Robertson on November 26th, 2013.

Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Chaplain Steve Fossum officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Mound Cemetery at Retreat. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
