James Lafayette Croley was the son of William Croley and Martha Ann Cumpton. He migrated from Tebo Township, Henry Co., MO to Colbert, Bryan Co., OK about 1870 where he worked on the Colbert Ferry on the Red River. He married Susie Rowland there about 1880 and they were the parents of five children: William Edward, Benjamin Franklin, Ida Bell, Robert Nathaniel, and James Albert Croley. After Susie's death, he married Martha Ann Loper about 1892 and they had five children: Jasper L., Nettie, Lola Mae, George Dewey, and Charles Oscar Croley. After Martha's death he married Lillie Mae Sanders on 31 Dec 1902 in Morris Co., TX and they had one daughter, Annie Mae Odell Croley. This grave site was added by John Wardlow.
