Bennion- William Ellis Bennion, 82, 6570 S. Redwood, Bennion, died May 9, 1971, in a Salt Lake nursing home of natural causes.
Born Nov. 16, 1887, Taylorsville, to William and Mary Wilson Bennion. Married Effie Palmer, Sep. 3, 1913, Salt Lake Temple. She died Aug. 10, 1964 Served Central States Mission, 1909-22; high priest, Bennion Ward, superintendent of YMMIA; counselor in Sunday School superintendency; retired farmer and stockman.
Survivors; sons, Vernon P., Hermiston, Ore., Stanley P., Salt Lake City; Wayne H., Cowley, Wyo; Morris P., Bennion, Paul, Hunter, Kenneth, Draper; Rex, Tooele; 35 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. LaMont Bennion, Salt Lake City.
Funeral Wednesday noon, Bennion Ward chapel, 6200 S. Redwood. Friends call Tuesday 6-8 p.m., 4330 S. Redwood and Wednesday at the chapel one hour before services. Burial, Taylorsville Memorial Gardens.
