Joseph Flowers was the son of Henry and Rosina Flowers. Rosina's maiden name is unknown. He was born 19 Mar 1773 and baptized on 9 May 1773 (per Goshenhoppen: St Paul's Mission, Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Baptisms 1741-1818). He married Elizabeth Ambrose. The couple is reportedly in Ohio when son Thomas is born in 1812-1814 in Muskingum County. (Perry County was formed in 1818 from parts of Washington, Fairfield and Muskingum Counties)
