Cecil Brent JAMISON, 95, of 406 Anders St. died Wednesday, November 27, 1985, in a local hospital. Funeral services were at 2:00 pm today in Adams Funeral Chapel, the Rev. A.A. BRATCHER officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Mr. JAMISON was born March 20, 1890 near Glen Rose, Tx., the son of John Kenner JAMISON and Ella Nelia LOVE JAMISON. He married Annie Averil OWEN Dec. 24, 1913, in Calvert, Texas, Robertson county. As a lad he worked as a ranch hand in the Indian Territory which is now the state of Oklahoma. He spent most of his life as an automobile mechanic. He graduated from Ford Motor Company mechanic school in the early 1920's. He moved to Marlin from Hearne, Texas, in 1930 and was employed by the Ford dealership, Hackel Motor Company, and later at Garrett Motor Company. He retired in 1978 at the age of 88. Accounts of his habit of carrying a small flower in his mouth published in Ripley's Believe It or Not and newspapers across the nation won him many new acquaintances.
