Caroline C. Sorensen

Hyrum-Mrs. Caroline Christensen Sorensen, 64, wife of Julius Sorensen, died Tuesday night at a Logan hospital after a short illness of pneumonia.

She was born in Bear River City on September 19, 1874, a daughter of Nils Peter and Martha Peterson Christensen. When she was four years of age she moved with her parents to Richmond and after living there for three years, moved to Mink Creek, Idaho, and then to Hyrum, where she had lived since. She was married to Mr. Sorensen on February 20, 1896, in Logan L. D. S. temple.

Surviving are her husband and seven sons and daughters, Alonzo J., Alma P., Elias H., and Opal Sorensen of Hyrum, Mrs. J. E. Sevy of Palo Alto, Calif., Mrs. Harry Welch of Paradise, Mrs. Elmer Mortensen of Bear River City; a step-son and step-daughter, Mrs. Cyrus Hansen of Brigham City and William G. Sorensen of Blackfoot, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, J. P. Christensen of Salt Lake City and Alma Christensen of Hyrum.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p. m. in Hyrum L. D. S. Second ward chapel, with burial in Hyrum cemetery directed by Thompson funeral home.
