Funeral services for William F. Harney, 75, a retired boiler fireman and railway employee, will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow in the Rooth-Ashmore chapel. Burial will be in Washington Park.
Mr. Harney died Monday after several weeks' illness. He worked for the Puget Sound Power & Light Co. from 1918 until his retirement in 1951. Earlier he worked several years in Black Diamond.
A native of Hobart, Ind., Mr. Harney came to Seattle in 1899. He was a member of Seattle Aerie No. 1, Eagles; Seattle Tribe No. 25, Improved Order of Red Men, and of the Electrical Workers' Union, Local 77.
Survivors are his wife, Ethel; six daughters, Mrs. Ellis Chriest, Mrs. Betty Risdon, Mrs. Lee Phillips, Mrs. Vernon Harkness and Shirley Harney, all of Seattle, and Mrs. Max Doerflinger, Santa Monica, Calif.; a son, Donald I. Harney, Seattle; two brothers, E.F. Harney, Seattle, and Fred Harney, Hobart; a stepbrother, Frank Steinmetz, Kansas City, Kas., and 12 grandchildren.
