Beulah V. "Bea" (Curtis) McGlone, 77, was born in Taylorville, Illinois. She was the third in a family of five children. Bea moved with her family to Bloomington, Indiana in 1956 where they built their home on Snoddy Road. Bea attended classes at Indiana University while working in the Halls of Residence Office. She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1958 where she married Donald McGlone. They had three children, Donald Chad McGlone, Cheryl Lynn McGlone and Shawn Lee McGlone. She and the children returned to Bloomington in 1974 and she worked for Community Action Program, Indiana University; contracted at Crane NWSC, worked with the Literacy Program at Monroe County Library and as a program planner at the Owen County Library. Bea volunteered in the public schools of her children and grandchildren as well as in nursing homes, the Franklin County Children's Home in Columbus, Ohio, the Greene County Youth Shelter in Spencer, Indiana, Church Women United in Bloomington, and was actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a missionary, a president and teacher in the Women's Auxiliary, The Relief Society; she worked with the scouts and the youth, and was an officer and taught about 29 years in the Primary Children's Program. Bea was often called Grandma Bea and was known for her love of children. She has 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, D. Chad McGlone and his wife, Teresa Mooy McGlone of Bloomington, and Shawn L. McGlone and his wife Arlene Harper McGlone of Norman, Oklahoma; by three sisters, Velma Teare and her husband Glenn(deceased), Cinda Neal and her husband Nick, and Rita Herrick and her husband Mike (deceased), all of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Lynn; brother, Leslie Franklin Curtis, and both parents, Opal Oller Curtis and Oscar Curtis. Visitation will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4235 W. Third Street, Bloomington from 3-7 pm Friday August 8, 2014 and again on Saturday morning from 8:00 am until service time at the church. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 am Saturday at the church.

She married Eugene Donovan Mounts on September 6, 1989 and they divorced in March, 2007.
