Franklin P Kratzer, 74 of 9 Kunkle's Road, Kutztown, formerly of Lynnport, died Wednesday in Berks Heim County Home, Reading. He was the husband of Rachel M (Ruppert) Kratzer. They were married 53 years last August.
He was a burner for Deka Battery Corp., Lyons, Berks County, for 10 years before retiring in 1984. Before that, he was a trimmer for Saucony Shoe Co., Kutztown, and had worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp. and the former Caloric Corp., Topton.
Born in Upper Macungie township, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Clara M. (Kritzler) Kratzer.
He was a member of Jacobs United Church of Christ, New Tripoli R.1.
