Born in Williams County on June 6, 1904, to Della (Stinger) and Eulyn Stauffer, she was married to Russell Mignery on April 19, 1930, and he preceded her in death in 1972.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, where she worked many hours in the kitchen. She also worked at Bryan Cafeteria and Lincoln School as a cook and assisted with private catering parties. Past-president of both the Bryan Mother's Club (PTA) and the Bryan Art Klan, she was also an honorary member and past-president of the Progress Club and a member of the Bryan Order of the Eastern Star, no. 248.
Surviving are a son, John (and wife, Sarah) Mignery of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. John (Joan) Stokes of Bryan; a sister, Mrs. William (Julia) Noneman of Bryan; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was a sister Leota Barnum.
The family will receive friends in the Rice Funeral Home in Bryan on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Edward Auchard officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery in Bryan.
Memorials may be made to the Williams County Hospice or to the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan.
