Bruce W. Deppe, 87 years, of Walnutport, died Friday July 29, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Born in Walnutport, Pa. he was the son of the late Burton and Ella (Becker) Deppe. He was the husband of the late Marion Shoemaker, the late Esther Youse and the late Freda Scalzitti.

Bruce worked as a carpenter and general contractor in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey for 45 years before retiring. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Northampton for many years. Bruce served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

Survivors: Surviving are his children, sons David and wife Theresa, Dean and wife Cindy, Douglas, Duane, Darryl and wife Joan; daughters Dawn Wainwright and husband Eugene, Danielle Snyder and husband Fred, Denise Yu and husband Steven; step-son Kevin Youse and wife Kathy; step-daughter Karen Ueltzen and husband Robert; step-sons Charles Sonntag, Louis Scalzitti and wife Eva; step-daughters Sherie Scalzitti and husband Rob, Priscilla Vargas and husband Rick, Janet Scalzitti; 12 grandchildren and 18 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren; and 1 step great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel Arnold and brothers Vance and Raymond.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday August 2nd, 2016 at Valley View Baptist Church, 2870 Pheasant Dr, Northampton, PA 18067. His viewing will be from 10-11am Tuesday at the church. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. is in
charge of the arrangements.
