Don Prewitt, age 78, of Tackett Creek Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 4, 1936 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late John Wesley Prewitt and Anna Me Chinn Prewitt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean Frazier Prewitt. He was a deacon and member of Main Street Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his four daughters, Kathleen Marie Robinson of St. Petersburg, Florida, Patricia Faye Thomas, Joyce Elaine Woodward and her husband Bill and Darlene Lynn Prewitt, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Chelsie, Calvin, Rachel, Scarlet, Jessica, Amy and Jon; six great-grandchildren, Caden, Sydney, Emma Destiny, Kiana and Dallas; three brothers, John Prewitt and his wife Sharon of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Ben Prewitt and his wife Jewell of Edgewater, Florida and O. Prewitt of Baton Rouge, Michigan; three sisters, Helen Aaron and her husband Jack of Albany, Kentucky, Sue Neace of Norton, Virginia and Dorothy Ball of Dayton, Ohio; special friend, Joyce Thomas of Williamsburg, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews: and a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Lowrie, Rev. Bill Wright and Rev. Steve Hogg officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Moses Addition of Pleasant View Cemetery. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
