Dr. Philip was born in Kobe, Japan on the 6th on August 1915 the son of missionary parents Bebjamin Philip and Florence Guthrie Hoffman. Dr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Philip G. Hoffman Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Mary Harding Hoffman; their three daughters, Vickie [J.C. Cobbs], Ruth Ann [Dr. Chris Cabler], and Jeanne [Tom Camp]; six grandchildren, and one great-grandaughter.
