Johnnie "J.W." William Naron, Sr.

TEXAS CITY — Johnnie "J.W." William Naron, Sr., 85, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Mr. Naron was born April 7, 1919, to William and Lena Naron, in Linden, Texas. He was a resident of Texas City since 1957, and formerly of Marshall, Texas. He was a switchman at the GH&H Railroad Co. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Naron is survived by his wife, Margaret Naron, of Texas City; two daughters, JoAnn Eldred of Dickinson, Texas and June Farrar and her husband Phillip of Bulverde, Texas; his son, Johnnie W. Naron, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Texas City, Texas; two brothers, Joe Naron of Longview, Texas and Bill Naron of Utah; his sister, Lou Dean Shoemake; seven grandchildren, Lynn Eldred, Lori Jo Eldred Armstrong, Leslie Eldred Randall, Gena Marshall, Ken Kirkpatrick, Tracy Jewell and Christel Naron; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m, at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Raju Samuel officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Ken Kirkpatrick, David Marshall, David Armstrong, Steve Jewell, Daniel Silva, Josh Eldred, Ben Johnston and David Grassmuck. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Eldred, Eric Armstrong, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Matthew Marshall, Ricky Grassmuck, Don Dawson and John Grassmuck.
