July 11, 1916 ~ January 27, 1999

Ethel Jones, 82, of Haworth, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at her home. She was born July 11, 1916, in Jefferson Asphalt, Okla.

A homemaker, Jones was a member of the First Assembly of God in Haworth, where she was a Sunday School teacher from 1978 to 1998. She had lived in the community most of her life.

She married Melvin H. Jones on Dec. 24, 1933, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Survivors include four daughters, Wanda Delno and Betty Winer, both of Haworth, Shirley Winer of Gilliam, Ark., and Patsy Oliver of Milwaukie, Ore.; three sons, Kenneth Jones of Idabel, Lonnie Jones of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Howard Jones of Haworth; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, Haworth, with Bro. Keith Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in Pollard Cemetery.
