84, of Louisville, passed away on April 13, 2015 at his home.
Bob was born July 26, 1930 in Louisville, KY, to John and Adele Stratman. He was a Flaget High School graduate and was employed at LG&E for 38 years. He also worked at Churchchill Downs and was a house painter. Robert was a member of St. Martha Catholic Parish, Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club Lodge #8. Robert was an avid softball player and volunteered at Meals on Wheels.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Billie Stratman.
He is survived by his children, Denise (Dennis) Stephenson, Gary (Marianne) Stratman, Tommy (Terry) Stratman, and Tim (JoAnn) Stratman; nine grandchildren, 16 great grand-children, his brother Jack (Betty) Stratman and his sister Jane (Richard) Geiger.
Mr. Stratman will be lying in state at St. Pius X, 3521 Goldsmith Ln, Louisville on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville.
