Abner Augustus Watson, 82, Barnard, Mo., died at 7:25 p.m., Saturday, at St. Francis Hospital, where he had been a patient seven weeks.

A retired farmer, he had lived in Barnard 32 years. He was born March 8, 1894 at Elmo, the son o f the late William D. and Rachael Burch Watson. At Clarinda, Iowa, he married Ruby Dew, who survives him.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by two sons, Ralph D. Watson, Maryville, and James M. Watson, Barnard; two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Appleby, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Shirley Mae Gerhardt, Clear Lake, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home with the Rev. J.J. Munshaw officiating. Burial will be in the Clearmont Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
