Stella Elizabeth Tabor Smith, 92, of St.Charles, Mo., formerly of Alderson, died of natural causes, Monday, July 1, 1996, at the home of a daughter in St. Charles.
Born Jan. 11, 1904, Barger Springs, she was the daughter of the late Walter Tabor and Eva Rudisill Tabor.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church at Alderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hooker Smith; a son, Ralph Smith and three sisters, Hattie Smith, Faye McNeer and Nellie Allen.
Survivers include two daughters, Alice Bengey of Hinton and Dorothy Shields of St. Charles, Mo; a brother Whitley Tabor of Hinton; four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rich Hagg Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gwinn Memorial Cemetery at Alderson.
Pallbearers were Eddie Smith, R. J. Smith, William Michael Miller Sr., William Michael Smith Jr., Jessie Miller and Paul E. Hall Sr. Arrangements by Lobban Funeral Home, Alderson.
