Kurt was always a handyman and a free spirit, a lover of women and family and cats. He had raised Maine Coon cats for a spell. He'd want you to know that he traveled throughout the U.S. and he loved fishing with his brother Bob and visiting gardens with sister Jody. He managed Denver's largest garden center before moving to Missouri. He built the addition to his home and was a fine carpenter. He was, during his lifetime, a loving step-father and devoted husband, though he was single at the time of his death. He died of a brain hemmorage, very unexpectedly. He was a gifted writer. The family misses my brother every day.

He was cremated, his ashes put into the small round memorial that sits on his brother's grave. Kurt did not want to be buried in consecrated ground, being a Wiccan Priest. But his stone is situated between his mother's grave and his brothers, so he rests with family now.
