Mr. James L. Bunch, age 81 of Franklin, died Wednesday, April 8th at the Medical Center in Franklin. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Eschol Roark Bunch and Clara Ellen Simmons Bunch. He was a 1954 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School and was part of the first management team of Walmart Store #282 for 16 years (1981-1997). He was a life member of the Harry Reed, Jr. VFW Post 5706 where he served as quartermaster for 22 years. Mr. Bunch was a U. S. Air Force Veteran having served for 20 years (1954-1974) at locations throughout the United States, Europe and the Pacific. His assignments included locations in the southeast and midwest United States as well as overseas in Germany, Libya and Thailand. He was preceded in death by sisters – Evelyn Bunch Bilbrey, and Dorothy Bunch Thomas and half-brothers – Wallace R. Driskell, Sr. and William T. Driskell.
