Patrick James Powers, 85, Lancaster, died Friday, Sept. 13, 1996 at Heartland-Fairfield Nursing Home.

He was owner and operator of Powers Dental Lab. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1016 and St. Vincent DePaul Society and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Pam Powers of Salisbury, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Richard Foreman of Elizabethtown, Ky.; grandchildren, Jenna and Elise Powers and John, Kimberly and Mark Foreman; and sisters and brothers-in-law Mary C. Houser, Pauline Brown, Helen Powers, Margaret and Bob McGee and Dorothy and Raymond Schleich, all of Lancaster, and Jane and Richard Hammond of Youngstown and Rose and Peter Hoffman of Lemon Grove, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, Patrick and Ida Mae Powers; two sisters; and one brother.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster, where a vigil service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Lancaster or Fisher Catholic Scholarship Fund.
