Rites Held For Mrs. J. D. Landers
Funeral services for Mrs. J. D. Landers, 68, were held at 2 Wednesday, May 1, in Howell Doran Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Albert Brown. Burial was in City Cemetery under the direction of Howell Doran Funeral Howe. Mrs. Landers died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 29, in Austin, following a lengthy illness. Born Rosalie V. Little Jan. 14, 1900, in Dallas, daughter of Geo. M. Little and Irene Rushing Little, she had resided in San Saba county since 1946. She was married to J. D. Landers Sept. 21, 1920, at Corpus Christi. She and her husband resided on their ranch located on Highway 16, toward Goldthwaite. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Order of Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. W. T. Berryhill of Beaumont; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Davis of Houston; three brothers, Eddie Little of Winters, Charlie Little of Houston and George Little of California.
