Dorothy Faye Davis, age 82, peacefully went home to be with the LORD on July 22, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 12, 1933 in Highlands, Texas, to Glenn and Joella Patton. Dorothy attended school in Highlands until, at the tender age of 15, she married and moved to Montgomery where she spent her life loving and caring for her family. Dorothy held many different jobs over the years and instilled in her five children the value of hard work and responsibility. She loved people and was well known for her kindness, her generosity, and her fun loving sense of humor. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Joanne McDuffy and Lanelle Robbins, her great grandson, Shelton Pearson, and her husband of 50 years, LeRoy Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. Pall Bearers will be Chad Pearson, Michael Davis, Jeffrey Weiman, Charlie Kopecky, Dakota Davis, and Chase Kopecky. Final resting place will be at Bethel Cemetery, following the service.
