Richard Charles Lawyer, 90, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.

He was born on February 17, 1925 in Moline, Illinois to Ralph and Pauline Halliburton Lawyer. He married Dorothy Jean Barron Lawyer, they shared 54 years. She passed away in 1997. He later married Louise Lawyer. She passed away in 2009.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by four daughters, Sherry (Tom) Collins, Shirley Miles of April Sound, Kathy (Dan) Daniels, and Patty (Summer Vincak) Lawyer.

He was a member of the Army Air Corps 11th Combat Cargo 513th Troop Carrier group and flew missions over the Himalayan Mountains. He was presented the Chinese Air Medal by General Chiang Kai-shek.

Full military services will be conducted at the Fort Sam Houston National Military Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas
