Mrs. Anna C. Kassulke, for nearly 30 years a resident of Cottonwood Township, answered the final summons last Friday evening. Her demise was due to a complication of diseases and came after an illness of a year. About two months ago she was taken to the hospital for treatment but after spending three weeks there she became aware of the fact that her condition was hopeless and returned home to await the end.
Deceased was born in Berden, Germany, in 1837, and was 66 years of age. Jan. 27, 1864, she was married to Gottfried Kassulke and in 1872 they came to this country. Two years were spent in Blue Earth County and they then moved on to the homestead in Cottonwood. Of seven children that were born to her only one, Gottfried Kassulke, survives.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. J. Albrecht, were held from the Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon.
