Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jones, 88, widow of the late J. F. Jones, were held Saturday afternoon from the Ravenswood Baptist Church with the Rev. R. S. Gillett officiating and the burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Mrs. Jones died at her Ravenswood home on Wednesday only a few hours after her only brother, D. H. Raines, had died in a Spencer hospital. She had been ill for some time, members of the family said. She was a native of Roane County, but had lived in Ravenswood for the past 20 years. Surviving are four sons, Lewis, Hoy and Howard Jones, all of Ravenswood, and Omer Jones of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. C. R. Wildman of Ravenswood and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Mitchell of Clendenin and Mrs. Rachel Cox of Bemen, Ohio. (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
