Winnie Clark Pilcher


Memorial services for
Winnie Clark Pilcher,89,
will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, March 28, 2015
from Arrington Cemetery
located on Eucutta Road
just off Highway 84, just
west of Beat Four School.

Born on Jan. 12, 1926,
she was born and raised in
Wayne County and gradu-
ated from Beat Four High
School. An account by
trade, she excelled in that
profession for more than
55 years, spending a great
deal of her career living and
working in New Orleans.

She was proud of her
family heritage and was
proud of the work ethic she
learned from her mother
and father. She loved
garding, and she adored
the city of New Orleans,
which was her home away
from home for more than 50
years. She died Monday,
March 2, 2015 after a short
but valiant fight against
cancer.

She is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law,
Don and Katherine Pilcher,
three grandchildren, Sheri-
dan Pilcher, Samuel Pilcher
and Joseph Pilcher. She was
blessed to have close and
loving family members and
friends, including nephew
Dane Clark and his wife,
Angie Clark, and their
daughter Haley; nephew
Scott Clark,and his wife
Stacey B. Clark and their
children, Kitana and Rayne
Clark; Tim and Marge Beard,
Chris Noble, Evelyn Beard,
Steve Beard, Rita Pratt,
Nellie Kelly, Clarence and
Christine Beard, Harlan
and Judy Beard, Tamara
Beard, Julia Currie, Robert
and Jan McKnight. Dee
Williams and so many more.
She will be missed by all,
but her presence and touch
will remain for years to
come.

She was preceded in death
by her father, Sam Clark;
her mother, Bessie Clark;
her brother, Paul Clark; her
sister-in-law, Eileen Clark;
and her husband, Don Har-
ris Pilcher.

"Whatever you do, work
at it with your heart, as
working for the Lord, not for
human masters, since you
know that you will receive
an inherance from the
Lord Christ, yor are ser-
ving." Colossoans 3:23-24.

In lieu of flowers, the fam'
ily wishes that donations
be made in her name to St.
Jude Children's Hospital.
