Ada Hileman, 94, dies at Van Wert
Mrs. Ada Alice Hileman, 94, Willshire (Ohio) township, widow of Herbert L. Hileman, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert, O., following an illness of 13 months.
She was born on August 17, 1878, the daughter of Taylor and Rilla-Gilbert McClure in Harrison township in Van Wert county, and married to her late husband on May 29, 1899. Mr. Hileman preceded her in death on May 12, 1944.
Mrs. Hileman was a member of the Willshire United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the church’s WSCS.
Surviving are one son, Archie Hileman of Willshire route 1, and two daughters, Mrs. Thea Swiysgood of Willshire and Mrs. John (Doris) Toth of Browns Mills, New Jersey; and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One son, James, passed away in 1955, and one sister and five brothers preceded her in death. Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild are also deceased.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Willshire, with the Rev. William E. Harsin officiating. Burial will follow in Willshire cemetery. Friends may call at Cowan and Sons funeral home in Van Wert after 7 p.m. today and at United Methodist church one hour prior to the services Saturday.
