The funeral of Mrs. Mary Cox, took place Tuesday Feb. 19th at the home of her daughter's Mrs. Jay Graham's. Mrs. Cox was the wife of John G.Cox and was born in Summerset Shire, England July 19th 1827 and died at the age of 79 yrs. 8 mo. and 27 days. She was the mother of eight children of which six survive eight children. She was a type of character which goes to make up a happy and well worth life to live while mingled with those whom she loved and to who she gave ever the same greeting with as mile. Mrs. Cox was a member in good standing of the Church of England of which faith she always clung. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Collins of this place. The house and yard were filled with friends who came to show their sympathy to the bereaved and remaining members of the family.
