Jim Yorba Nov. 16, 1934 - May 30, 2006 Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. for longtime Taft resident, Jim Yorba, 71. Rev. Tom White, pastor of Cuyama Assembly of God will officiate at the service. Mr. Yorba was born in Greenfield on November 16, 1934 and passed away in Los Angeles on May 30, 2006. He worked for Getty/Texaco for 40 years and retired nine years ago. Mr. Yorba was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also the Moose Lodge for many years. He and his wife, Yvonne have owned and operated the Westside Office Supply Inc. for many years. Mr. Yorba is well known for the number of years and the children he has coached for the Westside Little League. Mr. Yorba was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Maggie Yorba and by his brother, Freddie Yorba. His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Yvonne Yorba of Taft; his son, Jim Yorba and his wife, Angie and Randy Yorba, all of Taft and Tyler Hickernell and his wife, Alora of Star, Idaho; his grandchildren, Matthew and Candace Yorba; his step-grandchildren,, Brandon, Tori and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Issac and Louis; his sisters, Evelyn Harding and Dorothy Lopez; his niece, Nancy Maier of Taft; and by several nieces and nephews. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
