The move from Nebraska to Hugo, Colorado was made in March of 1927 in a (mobile covered wagon) a 1927 Chevrolet truck with a home-made cover over the truck bed. It was built by Uncle Albert Roenfeldt. There were no factory built campers at that time. The move was a life-time dream of our father's. The home was a large adobe.

He was employed continuously with Colorado State Highway Department from October of 1937 to April 1980 when he retired as Assistant Superintendent of Section 4 of the Colorado Department of HIghways.
Arnold married Chandos McNeal in 1938. Two children, Richard and Beverly, were born. After World War II Arnold and Chandos divorced. Richard and his wife raised two children in Aurora and Beverly raised four children in Arvada with her husband Lee Brewer.
