Services Tuesday For Roy H. Stone

Retired In 1946 As B&O Engineer

Services were held Tuesday evening at the Fink funeral home for Roy H. Stone, 79, retired B&O engineer and part-time custodian at the post office, who died Saturday evening at Doctor's hospital at Columbus. He was a patient there three days.

He worked on the New Castle-div for the B&O and retired in 1946 after approximately 47 years service. Since his retirement from the rail-road he had worked as a part-time custodian at post office. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Masonic Lodge.

He was born in York-tp in Medina co on March 4, 1877 and lived in Willard [Huron County] for the past 50 years. His home was at 703 Clark-st.

Survivors are the widow and two sons, Kent and Gilbert, both of San Bernardino, Calif.

Rev. C.D. Wright, pastor at the EUB church, officiated at the services and burial was made Wednesday afternoon in York cemetery at Medina. Masonic services were also held Tuesday evening.
