Mass of Christian burial for Joan Marie Keating, 92, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Meyersdale and Frostburg, Md., will be celebrated Saturday at 8 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg.
She died Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at Seidle Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
Born Nov. 23, 1908 in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Anna Arena D'Amico and the widow of Joseph P. Keating.
A graduate of West Penn Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, She was retired from the former Frostburg Miners Hospital in Frostburg, Md.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Frostburg, Md., and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, and Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church in Meyersdale.
Mrs. Keating is survived by a sister, Rita Huth of Valrico, Fla. She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony D'Amico, and two sisters, Rose Weber and Celia Mahone.
The Rev. Chester P. Snyder will officiate at services. Burial will be in Sts. Philip and James Cemetery in Meyersdale.
Malpezzi Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made to her church's building fund, P.O. Box 2012, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
