The father of Susan Chase was presumably named Wilson. He had two children (Susan & Margaret) with Louisa "Lois," who's maiden name is not known. He apparently passed away about 1808-1809 because the "widow" Lois Wilson then married Benjamin H. Inman (Sr.) and they conceived three children (Benjamin H Inman Jr. in 1810 and John B Inman in 1812 & an unknown daughter). So, "Inman" was the name of Susan Wilson's stepfather. Also, Susan Wilson's sister, Margaret, married Benjamin Chase's brother, Joseph and their farms were adjacent to each other. [Many thanks to Find A Grave contributor Robert Specht for this.]

Susan married Benjamin Chase on 30 Sep 1828. They named their first son James Wilson Chase, and the death certificates of their children William and Simeon say her maiden name was Wilson. But the death certificate of daughter Hannah says it was Inman. Benjamin and Susan had a total of 11 children.

The date and location of her death is unknown but the 1900 South Creek directory has the entry:
"Chase, Susan, (Gillett) r 33, widow Benjamin, 92 years old"
