PLEASANT GARDEN Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Carson Surratt, 66, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in the chapel of Forbis and Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Surratt was born in Buncombe County on May 22, 1937, to the late Robert and Louise Gorenflo Carson. She was a retired PBX operator at Moses Cone Hospital, a member of Magnolia St. Baptist Church and a member of the Pleasant Garden Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Surratt.
Survivors are brother, Robert L. Carson Jr. of Greensboro; sisters-in-law, Glenda Handy, Annie Mae Landreth, Wilma Koury, Jo Ann Lane; brothers-in-law, Cotton Surratt, James Surratt and Mike Surratt.
