CAROFF – Mrs. Ellen M., 81, Dunlo, died Aug. 19, 1988, at Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 3, 1906, in Dunlo, daughter of George and Sarah (McManus) Mackey. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James B.; sisters, Mary Jones, Margaret Smith, Agnes Fox and Letitia Caroff; and brothers, George, William, and Clarence. Survived by these brothers: James Mackey, Berwyn Jones and Clifford Jones, all of Cleveland, Ohio; also several neices and nephews. Member of Dunlo American Legion Auxiliary and Altar- Rosary Society at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Former school teacher in former Adams Township School and retired from Forest Hills School District. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Homer J. George Funeral Home, Salix, where wake service will be at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at Corpus Christi church, the Rev. Gerard Ream,. Interment, church cemetery. American Legion Ladies Auxiliary service at 7 p.m. Sunday.
