Alden “Buster” Lee Brewbaker, 86, passed away at home, on April 1, 2015. He was born March 6, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan, son of Alden and Dorothy Mae (Hood) Brewbaker. Alden served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a sergeant. He retired from General Motors in 1982, which he worked for 35 years. He then went to Brownsville, TX, and ran Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before moving to Florida in 1993, where he was a field supervisor for Imperial Auto Auction. Alden was an avid bowler and golfer, member of the Cole Briggs Post 48 American Legion, Elks Club, and the Moose. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patricia; two daughters, Julie (Barb) Brewbaker and Melody (Archie) Simmons; son, Tim (Melissa) Brewbaker; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ina Mae Richards and Joanne Ray; and brother Harold (Connie) Brewbaker. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Samuel Kebler. A Memorial service will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 ��" 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Park Fairgrounds, 14318 S. Grange Road, with Pastor Dennis Dubendorf officiating. The family will begin to receive friends one hour prior to service time. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the North Eagle Cemetery Society or the Great Lakes Hospice in memory of Alden Brewbaker.
