William "Bill" Claude Blalock Jr., 83, of Kennedale passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Kennedale. Interment: 3:30 p.m. in Granbury Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. Bill was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Granbury to William Claude Blalock Sr. and Margaret Allena Orr Blalock. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He loved his family dearly. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ancil Blalock, Louise Hudson and Mary Johnson-Rankin; and a daughter, Paula Jean Blalock. Survivors: His wife of 64 years, Dura Lee Elliott Blalock; daughters, Carol Lentz and husband, Wade, Suzann Craig and husband, Gary, and Linda Rhodes and husband, Raymond; nine grandchildren and their spouses; 21 great-grandchildren and their spouses; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.
